As a community effort, we have built a traditional house near to our main settlement. The house is used for tourist accommodation and that has been build in the traditional Semelai way, made 100% made from natural resources. The house, which is called Balai, can accommodate up to 10 people inside and more outside. Toilets and bathroom has been constructed outside for this purpose. There is no electricity and the only sours of light are kerosene lamps, there is also no running water and water has to be taken from the well.
